Training
We offer a basic skills class, an advanced obedience class, a puppy class, a tricks class, (see descriptions below) and will soon be offering the AKC Good Citizen’s Test – the 1st step in therapy dog work. In addition, we offer one-on-one consultations to address any number of behavioral issues.
Basic Training Class
During this 4 week class we will cover the most basic skills of dog training, often referred to as “social skills”. We will cover:
- sit
- down
- stay
- wait
- off
- leave it
- loose leash walking
- look
- recall better known as “come”
- other commands or tricks designed on an individual basis
Puppy Training Class
During this 6 week class we will cover the most essential puppy skills. We will cover all of the behaviors listed above for the basic class. The beginning is an impressionable time in your puppy’s life and is the perfect time to introduce your new furry friend to discipline and gain a solid foundation to go on to the next level of training.
Individual Consultations
Sometimes you just need an extra hand or some insight to understand why your favorite furry friend is burying your Jimmy Choos in the backyard. Our individual consultations will allow for us to interact with and you and your dog a more personal level. This way we are able to determine what training and behavioral counseling is best suited.
Please note that any newly adopted or rescued dogs will be given a 20% discount on all services, a goody bag and a 5% contribution will be made to a dog rescue/shelter organization.
