Our Philosophy

Dogs thrive on making us happy; Positive training gives our four-legged friends a way to make us happy by performing the “commands” we ask of them. We love our dogs and we all want them to fully understand our communication to them. When your dogs learns to sit, stay or any of the other numerous behaviors we can teach, they are showing us they do understand.

Whether they are working or herding in the field, retrieving or running the agility course, dogs show us they will do just about anything we ask of them. They all do it because they want to make us happy, that’s an amazing thing to experience.

We can help you learn how to communicate with your dog and how to train your furry friend to do just perform any number of commands and tricks. We can even provide the training and administer the test necessary to start your dog down the road to becoming a therapy dog.  Remember, you train your dog, we just show you how to excel at it.

At Positive Paw we believe dog training is a positive experience all the way around. We do not use harsh corrections but rather rely on the special language shared between people and dogs. We use the dog’s next favorite thing in life (favorite next to you, of course): food. A positive reward system using high-quality nutritious treats brings immediate results.
